The most surprising game was another loss of top-rankedSeagulls (17-4) in Helsinki on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Kouvot (11-10) 82-68 . Seagulls trailed 41-39 at halftime, rallying from a 27-13 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. American power forward Thomas Gipson (202-1993, college: Kansas St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Panamanian-American forward Ricardo Lindo Jr (203-2000, college: GWU) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Shavon Coleman (195-1992, college: LSU) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kouvot and five Seagulls players scored in double figures. Kouvot have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Korihait and Karhubasket. Defending champion Seagulls still keeps top position with four games lost.
