There was no surprise when 14th rankedMoncalieri (1-15) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Giussano (8-8) 69-44 on Saturday. Giussano shot 19 for 26 from the free-throw line, while Moncalieri only scored three points from the stripe. Giussano forced 19 Moncalieri turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Polish forward Klaudia Niedzwiedzka (186-1998, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Silvia Bonadeo (170-2000) who added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four Giussano players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Clara Salvini (181-1992) responded with 14 points and Croatian forward Karmen Cicic (183-1994) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Giussano maintains eighth position with 8-8 record. Moncalieri lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 15 games lost.
