Bottom-rankedASA Jerusalem (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-55 loss to third ranked M.Ashdod (7-3) in Ashdod on Monday evening. They also forced 21 ASA Jerusalem turnovers. M.Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by ASA Jerusalem 's players. American guard Victoria Vivians (187-1994, college: MSU) scored 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Bosnian forward Courtney Hurt (185-1990, college: VCU) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Inbar Orion (185-1985, college: Stony Brook) responded with 19 points and naturalized American guard Sydney Zambrotta (175-1997, college: GWU) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. M.Ashdod have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader E.Ramla, which they share with H.Jerusalem. Loser ASA Jerusalem still closes the standings with ten games lost.
