Regular Season Round 15: Bourges - Charnay 78-57

No shocking result in a game when third rankedBourges (11-4) crushed at home 6th ranked Charnay (7-8) 78-57 on Friday. Bourges outrebounded Charnay 41-23 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bourges looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Charnay 's players. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian center Kayla Alexander (193-1991, college: Syracuse) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Greek forward Artemis Spanou (187-1993, college: RMU) accounted for 7 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Coach Olivier Lafargue's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international forward Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi (188-1998, college: Miami, FL, agency: Areus Sports) came up with 16 points and American forward Shakayla Thomas (180-1996, college: FSU) added 13 points respectively for Charnay in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bourges moved-up to second place, which they share with Landes. Charnay lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Tarbes and Flammes.
