The most exciting game of round 12 in the Superleague took place in Tkibuli. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengersGAU (6-5) to fifth ranked Orbi (6-5) 90-87 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 25-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard Kenny Cooper (183-1998, college: Tennessee St.) who scored 30 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Point guard RiaN Holland (183-1994, college: Mercer) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Holland is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Isiah Small (202-1998, college: Texas St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Andrew Lewis (190-1998, college: Antelope Valley) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four GAU players scored in double figures. Orbi have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated GAU. Orbi is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Margveti (#11) in Tbilisi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GAU will play at home against Kutaisi (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
