There was no surprise when 16th rankedBreogan Lugo (6-15) was edged on the road by eleventh ranked Zaragoza (9-12) 63-61 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Zaragoza outrebounded Rio Breogan 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. Serbian-Canadian center Dejan Kravic (210-1990, college: Texas Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Cuban forward Yoanki Mencia (198-1997, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Ben McLemore (196-1993, college: Kansas) with 18 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Serbian Stefan Momirov (197-1999) scored 12 points. Four Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Zaragoza maintains eleventh place with 9-12 record. Loser Breogan Lugo dropped to the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Granada and Obradoiro.
