Regular Season Round 15: Champagne - Aulnoye 64-68

No shocking result in a game in Reims where first ranked Aulnoye (13-2) defeated 10th ranked Champagne (5-10) 68-64 on Saturday. Aulnoye forced 22 Champagne turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Fleur Devillers (180-1995) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points. Point guard Helene Jakovljevic (176-2000) helped adding 5 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Manoe Cisse (161-2004, agency: Areus Sports) with 24 points and 4 assists and American guard Danni Williams (178-1996, college: Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four Champagne players scored in double figures. Aulnoye have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record. Champagne lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Feytiat. Aulnoye will meet at home La Tronche (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Champagne will play against Chartres and hope to secure a win.
