Bottom-rankedVisby managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of ten consecutive losses. This time they won against eighth-ranked Sjuharads 72-68 . Visby forced 26 Sjuharads turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Raziyah Farrington (173-1997, college: Charleston) who led her team to a victory with 24 points and 7 assists. Her fellow American import forward Lashayla Wright-Ponder (182-1997, college: Tampa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Farrington is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. German power forward Merit Brennecke (188-2000) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Emelie Anas (174-1999) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for Sjuharads. Sjuharads' coach Karin Key rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Visby (2-13) moved-up to eleventh place. Sjuharads lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with IK Eos and Alvik Basket. Visby will play against higher ranked Ostersund (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sjuharads will play against Hogsbo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
