Very important is a home loss of third rankedMilonas (12-9) against eighth ranked Iraklis (12-9) on Saturday night. Host Milonas was defeated by Iraklis in a tough game in Athens 76-80 . Milonas was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian forward Nikola Malesevic (202-1989, college: URI, agency: Mansfield and Associates) stepped up and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Nikos Paparegkas (200-1994) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Iraklis players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international center Gaios Skordilis (207-1987, agency: Diamond Sports) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American-Ukrainian point guard Steve Burtt (189-1984, college: Iona) scored 9 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Iraklis . They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Milonas and Koroivos.
