An interesting game forTorpan Pojat (18-0) which hosted in Helsinki 4th ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (11-8). Top-ranked Torpan Pojat had an easy win 103-77 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tampereen Pyrinto. The game was mostly controlled by ToPo. Pyrinto was better in second period 28-23 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Torpan Pojat dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Tampereen Pyrinto 's 40 and made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Torpan Pojat players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import power forward Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-1991, college: Syracuse) who added 23 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Saana Kujala (184-2002) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Kayla Shaw (178-1997, college: Azusa Pacific) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ToPo have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-0 record. Pyrinto at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost.
