There was no surprise when 11th rankedMurcia 2 (3-13) was outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Elche (12-3) 94-66 on Sunday. Elche outrebounded Murcia 2 38-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Elche looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Chadian center Edmond Koyanouba (210-1995) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Center Pablo Gomez (-2001) chipped in 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jose Martinez (198-2005) who recorded 27 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Francisco Alcaraz added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Elche have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Benidorm. Murcia 2 lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with El Pilar.
