Regular Season Round 17: Armann - Fjolnir 77-105

D1 top team -Fjolnir (15-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Armann (5-12) in Reykjavik 105-77 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Armann. Fjolnir dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Armann 's 42. They outrebounded Armann 53-32 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian power forward Lewis Diankulu (201-1995, college: Queens, NC) nailed a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and point guard Viktor Steffensen (198-2002) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Fjolnir players scored in double figures. Italian-Swiss Laurent Zoccoletti (203-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Devaughn Jenkins (201-1995, college: Angelo St.) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Armann in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Fjolnir . They maintain first place with 15-2 record, which they share with IR. Armann at the other side keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Selfoss.
