One of the most interesting games of round 25 was a derby match between two teams from Lithuania. Third rankedSiauliai won against visiting Kibirkstis-MRU (12-5) 72-57 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kibirkstis-MRU. Siauliai forced 19 Kibirkstis-MRU turnovers. Filipino guard Malia Bambrick (178, college: LBSU) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Bulgarian guard Valeria Aleksieva (166-2000) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Siauliai players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Egle Zabotkaite (180-2000) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!) and Ukrainian center Taisia Udodenko (190-1989) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Siauliai have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 15-5 record having just three points less than leader Neptunas. Defending Lithuanian champion Kibirkstis-MRU keeps the fifth position with five games lost.
