There was a minor upset when 7th rankedPoznan (8-11) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Torun (6-13) 93-83 . Torun made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American forward Asia Strong (188-2000, college: Syracuse) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and the former international Angelika Stankiewicz (170-1995, agency: SPORTFORUM Agency) accounted for 18 points and 9 assists. Strong is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Zuzanna Puc (188-1997, college: Utah) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and international Agnieszka Skobel (180-1989) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Poznan in the defeat. Five Torun and four Poznan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Torun moved-up to eighth place. Poznan at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost.
