Regular Season Round 20: Moncalieri - Valdarno 44-53

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Moncalieri (2-18) lost at home to third ranked Valdarno (16-4) 53-44 on Saturday. Valdarno forced 29 Moncalieri turnovers. The winners were led by forward Milena Mioni (186-2001) who scored that evening 11 points and 9 rebounds and Bulgarian center Aleksandra Nikolaeva-Petrova (190-1998) supported her with 16 points. Even 11 points by Croatian forward Karmen Cicic (183-1994) did not help to save the game for Moncalieri. Ilenia Cordola (184-1996) added 8 points for the hosts. Valdarno moved-up to second place, which they share with Alpo and Costa Masnaga. Moncalieri lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Vigarano. Valdarno will meet at home Carugate (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Moncalieri will play against La Spezia and hope to secure a win.
