Regular Season Round 8: VSA - TSMU 95-81

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Tbilisi:VSA (#1) and TSMU (#6). VSA (10-1) won against visiting TSMU (2-9) 95-81 . VSA looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jermaine Head (186-1997, college: WILMU) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and Serbian power forward Sasa Vuksanovic (206-1997, college: Hawaii-Hilo) who added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four VSA players scored in double figures. Guard Levan Aptsiauri (187-2003) responded with 16 points and 7 assists and center Luka Kharabadze (202-2003) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. VSA maintains first position with 10-1 record. TSMU lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. VSA's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Astrali.
