Regular Season Round 25: Gravelines - Paris 66-77

There was no surprise when 15th rankedGravelines-Dunkerque (8-16) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Paris Basket (17-7) 77-66 on Tuesday. Paris forced 21 Gravelines turnovers. The former international guard Nadir Hifi (188-2002) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and American-North Macedonian point guard TJ Shorts (175-1997, college: UC Davis) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Shorts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Paris Basket's coach Tuomas Iisalo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American swingman Kris Clyburn (198-1996, college: UNLV) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Tajuan Agee (204-1997, college: Iona) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Gravelines players scored in double figures. Paris Basket have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bourg. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque dropped to the sixteenth position with 16 games lost.
