Very important is a road loss of third rankedKorihait (16-11) against fifth ranked Karhubasket (16-11) on Wednesday night. Visiting Korihait was defeated by Karhubasket in Kauhajoki 77-63 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Korihait. Korihait was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Karhubasket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Karhubasket made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 blocks. Norwegian forward Kristian Sjolund (203-1999, college: Portland) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Karhubasket players scored in double figures. Karhubasket's coach Janne Koskimies used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Jalen Jackson (198-1994, college: UALR, agency: Diamond Sports) produced 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Wesley Person Jr (190-1995, college: Troy) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Karhubasket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Korihait .
