The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedPanionios (17-8) on the court of sixth ranked Ermis S. on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Ermis S. 76-70 . Ermis S. made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Point guard Dimitris Geromichalos (185-1994) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 8 assists for the winners and American-Nigerian forward Stephen Ugochukwu (201-1996, college: McNeese St.) chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds. Ugochukwu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side swingman Efstathios Papadionysiou (196-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American forward DeJon Davis (201-1998, college: CBU) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ermis S. (15-10) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Koroivos. Panionios at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost.
