Regular Season Round 9: GTK - Slask 59-67

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeatedGTK (2-1) in Gliwice on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Slask (3-0) 67-59 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of GTK. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Slask looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Point guard Maksymilian Leniec (187-2007) stepped up and scored 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and forward Mateusz Kazmierczak (196-2005) chipped in 12 points. The best for the losing side was center Kajetan Misztal (208-2007) with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jakub Cisowski (186-2006) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slask have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with GAK Gdynia. GTK at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Enea Basket.
