An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Helsinki. First rankedSeagulls faced 3rd ranked Karhubasket . Host Seagulls (20-8) smashed guests from Kauhajoki (16-12) 104-84 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Karhubasket. The game without a history. Seagulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.9 percent from the field. Seagulls shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was international point guard Lassi Nikkarinen (187-1997, college: Montana St.) who scored 31 points and 9 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). American Shavon Coleman (195-1992, college: LSU) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and South Sudanese-Australian guard Junior Madut (196-1997, college: Hawaii) added 17 points respectively. Karhubasket's coach Janne Koskimies rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-8 record. Karhubasket at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Vilpas.
