The game in Giannena was also quite interesting. 6th rankedIraklis (7-8) played at the court of eighth ranked Giannena (7-9). Giannena did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 73-56 on Sunday. Giannena dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Iraklis ' 26. They outrebounded Iraklis 46-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Giannena looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Konstantina Sarigiannidou (180-1990) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Cypriot center Elena Pilakouta (190-2000, college: Omaha) supported her with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Pilakouta is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Giannena players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by Giannakaki (176-2005) did not help to save the game for Iraklis . American forward Tina Stephens (188-1999, college: Troy) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Giannena moved-up to seventh place. Iraklis lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.
