An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Grindavik. Second rankedGrindavik faced 4th ranked Haukar . Host Grindavik (15-7) defeated guests from Hafnarfjordur (11-11) 80-76 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Haukar. Grindavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Haukar 's 30. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Grindavik made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Danielle Rodriguez (177-1993, college: Utah) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Australian forward Eve Braslis (185-2000, college: Pepperdine) who added 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Grindavik players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Keira Robinson (170-1994, college: VCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists and international forward Thora Jonsdottir (173-1997) scored 7 points and 9 assists. Haukar's coach Bjarni Magnusson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Grindavik have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-7 record having three points less than leader Valur. Loser Haukar keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost.
