The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedJBA (19-2) in Jyvaskyla on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Kipina (14-7) 89-82 . It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of JBA. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 32-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by JBA helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward James Rojas (201-1999, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 22 rebounds. The other American import guard Ben College (184-1998, college: Whitworth) contributed with 31 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Roope Filtness (200-2005) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Tuomas Flinck (182) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for JBA. Four JBA players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kipina maintains fourth position with 14-7 record. JBA at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Honka.
