There was a small surprise when ninth rankedKTP-Basket (12-17) beat 7th ranked Kouvot (17-12) in Kotka 84-78 on Friday. Kouvot was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. KTP-Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kouvot 's 42. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-1985, agency: Inception Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Roydell Brown (198-1998, college: McNeese St.) accounted for 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Panamanian-American forward Ricardo Lindo Jr (203-2000, college: GWU) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks and forward Joel Mantynen (199-2002, agency: Blacktop Management) added 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for Kouvot in the defeat. Five Kouvot players scored in double figures. KTP-Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 12-17 record. Loser Kouvot dropped to the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Korihait and Karhubasket.
