No shocking result in a game when third rankedTapiolan Honka (13-10) defeated on the road 5th ranked Vimpelin Veto (10-13) 72-61 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-61. American forward Cierra Walker (173-1998, college: Gonzaga) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and the former international forward Petra Noponen (174-1996) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Tapiolan Honka's coach Niko Nyholm used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Silja Viita (185-2001) responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Sirena Tuitele (185-2000, college: California) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Honka maintains third place with 13-10 record having nine points less than leader ToPo. ViVe lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with FoA and Kouvot.
