Nigerian point guard Ike Iroegbu (188-1995, college: WSU) nailed 28 points for the winning side and naturalized Argentinian point guard Juani Marcos (190-2000) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds. French power forward Damien Inglis (206-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Armenian-American guard Chris Jones (188-1993, college: Angelo St.) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for Valencia in the defeat. Five Valencia players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Girona moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bilbao and Zaragoza. Loser Valencia keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Tenerife.
