Regular Season Round 25: Start - Trefl 84-85

The most exciting game of round 25 in the OBL took place in Lublin. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th rankedStart (14-11) to second ranked Trefl (18-7) 85-84 on Monday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Trefl looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. International center Geoffrey Groselle (213-1993, college: Creighton) fired 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Jakub Schenk (184-1994) chipped in 17 points. Trefl's coach Zan Tabak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Liam OReilly (188-1996, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the former international swingman Jakub Karolak (196-1993) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Four Trefl and five Start players scored in double figures. Trefl maintains second place with 18-7 record behind leader Anwil. Start at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Legia and Spojnia.
