We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Kauhajoki where one of their biggest challengersKarhubasket (17-14) was defeated by fifth ranked Kataja (17-14) 69-62 . The guests were already 19 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-12 Karhubasket's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 69-62 at the end of the game. The winners were led by American-Sierra Leonean guard Richaud Pack (192-1992, college: Maryland) who scored that evening 26 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian power forward Elijah Lufile (201-1997, college: ORU) supported him with 8 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Nathaniel Pollard Jr (196-2000, college: UMES, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) did not help to save the game for Karhubasket . Norwegian forward Kristian Sjolund (203-1999, college: Portland) added 20 points for the hosts. Kataja maintains fifth position with 17-14 record, which they share with defeated Karhubasket.
