Women League top team -Starlites (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Fusion (0-13) 101-23 . Starlites held Fusion to an opponent 15.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Fusion 47-19 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Starlites players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Fusion 's players. The winners were led by international Mikela Riolo (170-2001) who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and American forward Paige Cannon (185-1996, college: Duquesne) supported her with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Starlites players scored in double figures. Even 6 points and 11 rebounds by Nicole Montalvo did not help to save the game for Fusion . Desmea Vella added 7 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-2 record. Fusion at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost.
