Very expected game in Hafnarfjordur where 10th rankedHaukar (5-16) was defeated by sixth ranked Alftanes (12-9) 98-91 on Thursday. Alftanes shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Haukur Palsson (198-1992, college: Maryland) who scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian power forward Norbertas Giga (208-1995, college: Jax State) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Alftanes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-Italian power forward David Okeke (204-1998, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Everage Richardson (191-1985, college: Coastal) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively. Haukar's coach Mate Dalmay rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Alftanes maintains sixth place with 12-9 record. Haukar lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 16 games lost.
