There was a small surprise in Paris where fourteenth rankedBerck (10-20) beat their close opponent CFBB (6-25) 98-94 on Friday. Berck outrebounded Pole France 38-24 including a 29-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Berck looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Jamaican Duane Morgan (198-1993, college: Adelphi) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Guillaume Valayer (201-1996) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Talis Soulhac (186-2006) who recorded 26 points and 4 assists and Nathan Soliman (195-2009) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Berck have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Feurs and Lyon. Loser CFBB keeps the fourteenth position with 25 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
