Regular Season Round 27: Saint Quentin - Monaco 71-69

The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedMonaco (24-3) on the court of ninth ranked Saint-Quentin on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Saint-Quentin 71-69 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Monaco. Strangely Monaco outrebounded Saint Quentin 44-26 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American point guard Nate Johnson (193-1998, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Lucas Boucaud (188-2000) helped adding 9 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Elie Okobo (191-1997) with 19 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Matthew Strazel (184-2002) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Monaco's coach Sasa Obradovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saint Quentin (14-14) moved-up to eighth place. Defending champion Monaco still keeps top position with three games lost. Saint Quentin are looking forward to face Limoges (#9) on the road in the next round. Monaco will play against Nancy (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
