Rather expected game when 16th rankedMaresme (3-23) was rolled over on the road by thirteenth ranked Melilla (10-17) 80-40 on Saturday. Melilla held Maresme to an opponent 23.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Maresme 51-34 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Melilla looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Maresme 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian point guard Macarena Durso (169-1991) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and forward Maria Torreblanca (178-2000, college: Wyoming) who added 13 points during the contest. Melilla's coach Paulino Puerto felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Queralt Coll (188-1994, college: Campbellsville) responded with 6 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ariadna Magrina (164-1994) scored 9 points. Melilla moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Unicaja. Maresme lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 23 lost games.
