Not a big story in a game when 9th rankedSOPCC (17-16) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Union Rennes (17-16) 88-85 on Tuesday. Rennes forced 20 Pont-de-Cheruy turnovers. Strangely Pont-de-Cheruy outrebounded Rennes 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Pont-de-Cheruy 's players. It was a great evening for point guard Lucas Fontaine (180-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 assists. Swingman Fabien Damase (199-2002, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side guard Maydden Nnah-Ndong (193-2000) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mahes Montout (185-2000) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Five Rennes and four Pont-de-Cheruy players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rennes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vitre and Pont-de-Cheruy. Pont-de-Cheruy lost third consecutive game.
