The game between second rankedAIK Basket (20-9) and fifteenth ranked Eskilstuna (8-20) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. AIK Basket was defeated by Eskilstuna in Solna 84-69 . Eskilstuna outrebounded AIK Basket 54-36 including a 40-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Eskilstuna looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was British-Nigerian center Kingsley Nwagboso (210-1996, college: FMU) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 26 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Malik Brikat (206, college: MSUB) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Four Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. Forward Alexander Holmstrom-Forster (198-1992) produced 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Valter Lumpus added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Eskilstuna moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Norrort. AIK Basket at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Eskilstuna is looking forward to face higher ranked Djurgarden (#10) in Stockholm in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AIK Basket will play at home against Malbas (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
