There was an upset when higher rankedMykonou (14-16) was smashed by fourteenth ranked Aias Evosmou (11-19) in Mykonos 84-62 on Saturday. Aias Evosmou outrebounded Mykonou 46-33 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aias Evosmou looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Kyriakos Petanidis (204-2001) notched 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Kostas Abatzas (188-1993) supported him with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds by Italian-Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (214-1990) did not help to save the game for Mykonou . Guard Kostas Efstratiou (185-1998) added 15 points and 6 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aias Evosmou moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Psychikou and Charilaos. Mykonou lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Papagou and Doxa Lefkadas.
