Regular Season Round 18: Starlites - Valletta F. 117-76

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Starlites as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Starlites smashed bottom-ranked Valletta F. in Naxxar 117-76. Starlites forced 20 Valletta F. turnovers. American Davonte Craven (203-1999, college: Rust) scored 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Australian guard Matt Attard (188-1998, college: St.Francis, IL) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Neil Cassar (167-2004) with 31 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Indian Ulhas Satyanarayan (185-1998) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Valletta F. still closes the standings. Valletta F. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Starlites will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Athleta in Gzira.
