The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Hapoel Eilat's (5-15) road loss to tenth ranked Hapoel Haifa (9-12) 71-81 on Monday. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jon Davis (189-1996, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and power forward Marcus Bingham Jr (213-2000, college: Michigan St.) who added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Hapoel Haifa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Elijah Stewart (196-1995, college: USC) with 27 points and 5 rebounds and JaJuan Johnson (208-1989, college: Purdue) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Hapoel Haifa have a solid four-game winning streak. H.Haifa moved-up to eighth place, which they share with H.Afula and I.Ness Ziona. H.Eilat lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. H.Haifa will meet higher ranked Bnei Hertzeliya (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. H.Eilat will play against H.Afula (#8) and hope to secure a win.
