Bottom-rankedPesaro managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Pistoia 89-82 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pistoia. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Andrea Cinciarini (191-1986, agency: SLN) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international power forward Valerio Mazzola (205-1988) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. American-Nigerian power forward Derek Ogbeide (205-1997, college: Georgia, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American guard Payton Willis (193-1998, college: Minnesota) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Pistoia in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pesaro (9-18) moved-up to fifteenth place. Newly promoted Pistoia keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Trento. Pesaro will meet higher ranked Tortona (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pistoia will play against Brindisi and hope to secure a win.
