Regular Season Round 25: Bnei Hertzeliya - H.Haifa 96-98

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Hapoel Haifa (10-12) edged 6th ranked Bnei Hertzeliya (11-11) in Hod Hasharon 98-96 on Monday. H.Haifa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Guard Jon Davis (189-1996, college: Charlotte) nailed 27 points and 9 assists for the winning side and power forward Marcus Bingham Jr (213-2000, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds. Tyler Stone (203-1991, college: SEMO) came up with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Bryson Williams (203-1998, college: Texas Tech) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Bnei Hertzeliya in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hapoel Haifa. H.Haifa moved-up to eighth place. Bnei Hertzeliya lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Kiryat Ata. H.Haifa will meet at home league's leader M.Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bnei Hertzeliya will play against H.Galil Elion (#13) in Kfar Blum and hope to secure a win.
