There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedBattipaglia (3-21) won against at home higher ranked Ragusa (14-10) 91-87 on Saturday. American center Ciera Johnson (190-1997, college: Texas A&M) notched 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Sarah Seka (177-2003) supported her with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds by Nigerian-American power forward Oderah Chidom (193-1995, college: Duke) did not help to save the game for Ragusa . Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (187-1997) added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Battipaglia maintains twelfth position with 3-21 record. Loser Ragusa keeps the sixth place with ten games lost.
