Regular Season Round 32: H.Haifa - H.Afula 88-80

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Afula (12-16) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Hapoel Haifa (14-13) 88-80. It was a great shooting night for H.Haifa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: La Tech, agency: SLN) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists and the other American import forward Dakarai Tucker (196-1994, college: Utah, agency: BIG) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international Spencer Weisz (193-1995, college: Princeton) did not help to save the game for H.Afula. American guard Marcellus Earlington (201-2000, college: San Diego) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Haifa have a solid four-game winning streak. H.Haifa maintains sixth position with 14-13 record. Newly promoted H.Afula dropped to the ninth place with 16 games lost.
