We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th rankedLevice (1-1) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Blue Wings (2-2) 88-79 on Wednesday. Blue Wings made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The former international center Michal Fusek (223-1995, agency: 011 Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. American forward Chuck OBannon Jr (198-1999, college: TCU) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Blue Wings' coach Krunoslav Krajnovic used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American guard Ty Nichols (190-1996, college: Keene St., agency: Diamond Sports) produced 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Stephon Jelks (198-1996, college: Mercer) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Blue Wings moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Iskra Svit. Defending champion Levice dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. They share it with Prievidza.
