Regular Season Round 1: Seagulls - Vilpas 94-85

Seagulls used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Salo 94-85 on Friday night. Seagulls outrebounded Vilpas 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. Seagulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Vilpas' players. International point guard Lassi Nikkarinen (188-1997, college: Montana St.) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 assists for the winners. American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. British guard Amin Adamu (194-1997, college: Montana St.) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Samu Adler (196-2007, agency: Blacktop Management) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Seagulls will meet Karhubasket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vilpas will play against Kobrat and hope to win that game.
