Grindavik smashed IR at home 100-81 . Grindavik dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to IR 's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Devon Thomas (183-1994, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 7 assists. Danish forward Daniel Mortensen (204-1994, college: Barry) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jacob Falko (190-2000, college: Binghamton) answered with 23 points and 7 assists and guard Hakon Hjalmarsson (190-1999, college: Binghamton) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for IR. Five Grindavik and four IR players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
