The biggest surprise of round 2 in Subway League took place in Hafnarfjordur where hostHaukar beat Athena 91-76 on Wednesday evening. Haukar dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Athena 's 36. Haukar forced 25 Athena turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Tinna Alexandersdottir (177-2003) who scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Belgian forward Lore Devos (185-1999, college: Colorado St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Ajulu Thatha (185-2000, college: FGCU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and Polish guard Barbara Zieniewska (183-1999, college: CSU) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests.
