Everything could happen in Reykjavik at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedValur and 8th ranked Keflavik had identical 1-2 record. This time Valur used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Keflavik 104-80 on Thursday night. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Valur's pressure prevailed and they won that period 33-13 extending their advantage to 24 points. Valur looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Irish-British forward Taiwo Badmus (200-1993, college: UVA Wise) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Kari Jonsson (192-1997, college: Drexel) supported him with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Valur's coach Finnur Stefansson felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by American point guard Wendell Green Jr (180-2002, college: Auburn) did not help to save the game for Keflavik . American-German Jarell Reischel (200-1992, college: EKU) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion (2-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hottur and KR. Keflavik lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Alftanes.
