The game had a very big importance for third-rankedTindastoll as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Stjarnan) loss. Tindastoll smashed 6th ranked Hottur in Sauoarkrokur 99-59 . The game without a history. Tindastoll led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tindastoll had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Tindastoll brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Greek Giannis Agravanis (198-1998, agency: Diamond Sports) nailed 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Latvian Davis Geks (194-1995) accounted for 18 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (205-1987) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American-Hungarian point guard Obie Trotter (192-1984, college: AAMU) added 15 points respectively for Hottur in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tindastoll . As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Stjarnan. Hottur lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth place with three games lost.
