Yana Borisevich claims Belarusian Premier League weekly honour

Talented Yana Borisevich (161-G-2006) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader BC Minsk and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 17-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding two rebounds and three assists for BC Minsk in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Gorizont 2 (#8, 6-21) with 51-point margin 104-53. It allowed BC Minsk to consolidate first place in the Belarusian Premier League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and BC Minsk still have not lost a single game, getting all 27 victories. In the team's last game Borisevich had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Yana Borisevich averages this season 10.3ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ulyana Paley (2009) of Victoria Grodno. Paley impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Victoria to edge slightly lower-ranked Gomel 2 (#9, 5-22) by 6 points 86-80. Victoria's 7th position in the standings has not changed. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just eight victories Victoria managed to get this year. Paley is a newcomer at Victoria and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was Ilona Katsyro (170-PG-2005) of BK Gomelskiye Rysy (#9). Katsyro showcased her all-around game by recording 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Katsyro's great performance the Gomel lost 80-86 to slightly higher-ranked Victoria (#7, 8-19). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Gomel can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-22 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Katsyro has individually a great season in Belarus. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.0ppg (3rd best) and assists with 4.6apg (4th best). She also has 2.3spg and a FGP of 51.7%.
